Flow 

How much flow can be pumped?

The BT series peristaltic pump can provide a flow range of 0.035 to 2280 ml/min.
How accurate is the flow rate?
After adIPL-OPT-machine.html target='_blank'>OPTing the calibrated flow pump system, the flow error range can be less than +/-0.5%. With other pump systems, the flow error range can be less than +/-3%, which meets the requirements of general pumping applications.
Are the volume measurements repeatable?
With the calibrated pump system, the repeat error of the volume measurement can be less than or equal to +/-0.25%.
What effect does viscosity have on fluidity?
The fluidity of all fluids is measured by the fluidity of water. The greater the viscosity of the fluid, the lower the flow rate.
Pump head
What is the upper pressure limit?
Depends on the pump tube used. Under normal circumstances, the upper limit of the pressure of the pump pipe is 40 psig (2.7 bar); the nominal pressure is 25 psig (1.7 bar). The company's PTFE pump head has an upper pressure limit of 100 pounds per square foot.
What is the upper limit of inlet pressure?
It depends on the inner diameter, wall thickness and material of the pump tube used. Normally, the upper pressure limit at the inlet is 40 psi (2.7 bar). The company's PTFE pump head has an upper pressure limit of 100 pounds per square foot.
What is the maximum suction height?
The maximum suction height is 29 feet of water column.
Do you need a check valve?
No need. The company's unique pump body structure eliminates this need.
Can the peristaltic pump run idly?
can. It can pump gas, liquid and multiphase mixed fluid. However, the company's PTFE pump head will overheat when idling, so it cannot pump gas.
Is the peristaltic pump a self-priming pump?
Yes. It can generate a vacuum of more than 26 inches of mercury (660 mm of mercury).
Is the peristaltic pump a positive displacement pump?
Yes. The flow of water is proportional to the speed of the rotor (within the maximum capacity of the drive).
Is the peristaltic pump non-siphonic?
Yes. At any moment, there is always a roller pressed through the pump tube to lock it, so there is no backflow.
Can you pump slurry fluids or abrasive solutions?
can. However, the upper limit of the pumpable viscosity and particle size is related to the inner diameter of the pump tube used.
Why provide so many pump head types and pump tube sizes?

This makes it possible to achieve the required fluid pumping at the optimal speed in as many applications as possible. 

Can fluid be pumped in reverse?
can. When the pump head rotates clockwise or counterclockwise, all specifications are the same.

Pump tube

How important is the pump tube?

The pump tube is equivalent to the pump chamber of an ordinary pump. The elasticity of the pump tube determines the suction height; the strength of the pump tube material determines its pressure resistance; the softness of the pump tube material determines the service life of the pump; the inner diameter of the pump tube determines the pumping flow; and the wall thickness of the pump tube determines the pumping efficiency.

What is the suitable temperature range of the peristaltic pump?

The optimal temperature range is 32 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit (0 to 40 degrees Celsius). The temperature range that the pump tube can withstand is minus 100 to minus 460 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 73 to minus 232 degrees Celsius), and the maximum temperature range that the pump head can withstand is minus 148 to minus 230 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 100 to zero) 110 degrees Celsius).

How resistant is chemical corrosion?

What are the factors that affect the service life of the pump tube?

The speed and pressure of the pump, the material of the pump tube and its chemical compatibility, and the abrasiveness of the pumped fluid (medium). For the average service life of pump tubing, please call our product advisor

Which pump tube material has the longest service life?

In order: NORPRENE® tube, PHARMED® tube, TYGON® LFL tube, silicone tube, TYGON silicone tube, C-FLEX® tube, TYGON tube and VITON tube. For more details, please call our product advisor.

What is the relationship between pump speed and pump tube life?

The life of the pump tube is inversely proportional to the speed of the pump. The lower the speed of the pump, the longer the service life of the pump tube. 

How compatible is the pump tube with food? Can it withstand disinfection?
Very good, you can. Part of the pump tube material complies with MSF, FDA and USDA regulations or requirements for food transportation. Many materials can withstand disinfection. For more details, please call our product advisor
Is it easy to replace the pump tube?
Not difficult. Easy-install pump head, easy-install II pump head, high-performance pump head, cassette pump head, and quick-install pump tube can be replaced quickly and easily. For the standard pump head, the pump tube is also easy to replace as long as the supplied pump key is used.
Driver
Can one driver carry multiple pump heads?
can. Any number (generally 2 or 4) of standard pump heads or easy-to-install pump heads can be grouped together in any combination, as long as the maximum torque of the driver is not exceeded.
