Peristaltic pump is like squeezing a hose filled with fluid with your fingers, and the fluid in the tube moves forward as the fingers slide forward. The peristaltic pump is also based on this principle, but the finger is replaced by a roller. The fluid is pumped by alternately squeezing and releasing the elastic delivery hose of the pump. Just like squeezing a hose with two fingers, as the fingers move, negative pressure is formed in the tube and the liquid flows along with it.
peristaltic pump is a section of pump tube between two rotating rollers to form a "pillow"-shaped fluid. The volume of the "pillow" depends on the inner diameter of the pump tube and the geometric characteristics of the rotor. The flow rate depends on the product of three parameters: the speed of the pump head, the size of the "pillow", and the number of "pillows" produced per revolution of the rotor. The size of the "pillow" is generally constant (except when pumping particularly viscous fluids). Compared with a pump with the same rotor diameter, a pump with a larger "pillow" volume has a larger volume of fluid delivered per revolution of the rotor, but also a greater degree of pulsation. This is similar to the case of membrane valves. For pumps that produce a smaller "pillow" volume, the volume of fluid conveyed by the rotor per revolution is also smaller; moreover, the small "pillow" formed quickly and continuously makes the fluid flow more stable. This is similar to how a gear pump works.
Classification of peristaltic pumps: The use of peristaltic pumps is to use the required flow. Therefore, according to the operation and use of the peristaltic pumps, it is divided into:
1. Speed-regulating peristaltic pump: It has the basic control functions of a peristaltic pump, displaying speed, start-stop, direction, speed adjustment, filling and emptying, power-down memory, external control input and other functions.
2. Flow-type peristaltic pump: In addition to basic functions, functions such as flow display, flow correction, and communication are added.
3. Distributing peristaltic pump: In addition to basic control functions, it adds functions such as flow display, flow correction, communication, liquid volume distribution, suction, and output control.
4. Customized (OEM) peristaltic pump: With a series of peristaltic pump heads with different flow ranges, customers can design different peristaltic pump drive circuits for supporting use according to their own equipment needs.
